In my fist post I decided to write a bit of the most stunning soprano I’ve ever heard!
Do you like opera?
If you do, probably the “angelic beauty” (The New York Times) is well known to you.
If you don’t, you will fall in love with it since you’ll be delivered the “unforgettable spiritual expression” (Guardian).
Who am I writing about?
Well, of course – Lady Julia Lezhneva!
She’s the Maria Callas of her generation!
Born in 1989 (Russia). Started her musical education at the age of 5. She has won many prestigious awards for her purity of tone and flawless technique and performs on the most important stages in the world.
Mozart, Bach, Rossini, Vivaldi, Händel… in her performance lifts the listener’s soul to the heaven above. I’m so speechless…
Let’s listen to Händel’s „Lascia la spina cogli la rosa”
Have you felt this sensual delicacy? A voice like crystals on the morning breeze…
So now something joyfull! Mozart’s “Exsultate, jubilate, K165”
Belíssimo! I would say – what an “insufferable” lightness of life!
At the end – the remarkable coloratura technique in her interpretation of Agitata da due venti (Griselda/Vivaldi)
I hope that this slight excerpts will encourage you to discover more about Lezhneva’s performances.
Small digression – music is to be listened to and contemplated, not discussed…
